Waltham Pop Warner celebrates season at awards banquet
The Waltham Pop Warner football and cheerleading program held its annual awards banquet at Waltham High on Jan. 6 with more than 300 players, cheerleaders and parents in attendance.
All players and cheerleaders received individual engraved trophies with their names on them.
Several awards were also handed out, including for the A team players: Joseph Carroll (Coaches Award), Nicolas Fabrice (Most Improved Award), James Ratsamee-Hunt (Falzone MVP Award), Josue Bautista (James Hagle Award for Best Lineman), Saen Saenpraseuth (Coaches Award). Coaches for the A team were David Jammal, Joe Donovan and Dick Scanlon.
For the A team cheerleaders, Emily Lyons received the Leadership Award, Kathy Houle received the Sportsmanship Award, Maddie Tracey received the Spirit Award and Cara Arthur received the Most Improved Award. The team’s coaches were Michelle Ford, Kelsey Fagan and Gina Falzone.
For the B team, Maxwell Waters received the award for Best Lineman, Jonathan Coates was named Team MVP and Joseph Dalicandro was named Best Defensive Player. The team was coached by Eddie Irwin.
The A team cheerleaders were: Cara Arthur, Mikayla Bertrand, Team Bonanno, Shaye Cercone, Melissa Damigella, Guilia DiGenova, Leah Duplessis, Vanessa Feeley, Grace Gullotti, Kathleen Houle, Alexandrine Jean-Baptiste, Ashley Johnson, Adrianna Joniaux, Emily Lyons, Brianna Maguire, Julie Maillet, Jaleena Marrero, Victoria Mendez, Abby Quintanilla, Alexa Robinson, Rielly Smolinsky, Madelyne Tracey and Tori Zanco.
The C team cheerleaders were: Annabella Beck, Eva Capobianco, Kayla Clements, Rachel Cosgrove, Mikayla Dango, Caitlyn Desimone, Jamie Devlin, Adrianne Forte, Elizabeth Houle, Jillian Marrero, Alexea Marston, Lauren Quinn, Jenevieve Rivera, Marissa Robinson, Vanessa Robinson, Nichole Rosa, Jennifer Russo, Karinah Santiago, Lissette Santiago, Madison Schultz, Caitlin Slattery, Arianna Szydlowski, Leah Vautour and Madison Zanco.
The D team cheerleaders were: Natalie Belton, Brianna Garrigan, Erica Gaudet, Trinity Green, Sofia Gullotti, Adamari Montenez, Janice O’Neil, Melissa Rosa, Shea Smolinsky, Jaiden Torres, Emma Vautour and Maeva Viaud.
