Howie Stalwick Behind the 8-Ball: WSU offense could be something special
1. Explosive Cougs: The media is often slow to react to change in the Palouse, but you can take this to the bank, credit union or savings and loan institution of your choosing: Washington State quarterback Jeff Tuel and his receivers, as a total package, rank among the better groups in college football. If those folks can stay healthy and the offensive line and defense can just play respectably — and Lord knows they haven't been able to do so in eons — the Cougars are a lock to go bowl-in' for the first time since 2003. And no, I do NOT need a lobotomy. Wazzu's O-line and defense won't be dominant, but they should be better. They just about have to be, don't they? A Downy-soft early schedule won't hurt a bit in boosting the Cougars' confidence.
2. Young Blood: They'll be too young to be great next year, but if the Mariners continue to develop their young nucleus of talent, a playoff berth — and maybe a whole lot more — is theirs for the taking in 2013. Ackley-Carp-Smoak-Wells should make up a formidable heart of the batting order, and Trayvon Robinson is the heir apparent to Ichiro at leadoff. Next spring, the M's will give Ichiro two months to prove this year is a fluke. If Ichiro doesn't rebound big time, Robinson moves up to leadoff, and Ichiro will sulk like no other until the Mariners can afford to eat a good portion of what's left of his contract (which ends next year) and trade him at midseason. You'd hate to see the Mariners basically being forced to trade a local legend. Right, Mr. Griffey? Right, Mr. Johnson? Right, Mr. Moyer?
3. Hurricanes Watch: Cheating is nothing new for Miami football. Remember all the hanky-panky and NCAA sanctions connected with the two national championship teams coached by Dennis Erickson a couple decades back? The Hurricanes have oozed sleaze – or was that Jimmy Johnson's hairspray? — ever since Johnson coached there prior to Erickson.
4. Pryor Offense: Dunno what was more bizarre: a) Terrelle Pryor's lawyer telling the NFL that his client had to be eligible for the supplemental draft because he was such a low-life dirtbag at Ohio State; or b) the NFL suspending Pryor for five games for his collegiate misdeeds. Who knew that Ohio State had become an NFL franchise? (Let us refrain from making cracks about the Buckeyes paying better. However true that may be.) What's next? Will the NFL suspend some other rookie once it's discovered that he deliberately knocked over another toddler's Legos in preschool?

It’s a busy busy time at LWTG, and we wanted to make you aware of some events coming up!
First, we’ll be hosting a special story time at the Kirkland Wednesday Market during various weeks of the summer. Starting next Wednesday, June 29th, we’ll have a story time at 2:30 P.M. This will be fun for the kids, so be sure to tell your friends! Our station will be set up near the Sweet Cakes store front. Keep in mind that the market has switched locations this year. It is on Park Lane in Kirkland, no longer at the Marina Park, so plan accordingly.
We will also host two open houses at our site during the summer. These will be open to the public, so spread the word. It’s also a great time to play and meet other Toddler Group families. We have openings in a few of our classes so it’s a good chance to get other families excited about Toddler Group.
