Tuskegee Airmen plane goes to Smithsonian
Retired Lt. Col. Leo R. The PT-13 Stearman open-cockpit biplane was used as a trainer plane for the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II. Decommissioned in 1946, used for decades as a crop duster and damaged in a crash, it was purchased at public auction and restored over the course of three years by Capt. Matthew Quy, a former B-52 bomber pilot who deploys to Afghanistan later this month, and his wife, Tina. It is one of the few surviving planes with ties to Moton Field and Tuskegee Institute, a segregated facility in Tuskegee, Ala., where nearly 1,000 black pilots were trained to fly escort for bombing missions over North Africa and Italy.

One designer in Texas has done just that by fashioning belt buckles from unused and broken Mac mice. The idea came about when he was throwing out a box of old computer mice and noticed they were of similar size to belt buckles. He then decided to fashion them as belt buckles and put them up for sale on an online shop he set up with his future wife to raise enough money in time to fund their upcoming wedding next year. Thus, the Mac Pro Belt Buckles were born.
The designer has several belt buckles fashioned from a variety of Mac Pro mice but if you are not a Mac fan, you can opt for a belt buckle fashioned from a Compaq mouse. Stocks are limited though, as the designer says he does not have many broken or unused mice lying around.
The mouse belt buckles measure 4.25 inches by 2.5 inches and fit belts measuring up to 1.75 inches and will set you back by about $22 each.
