Those convictions include: driving while impaired, operating a vehicle without a license, speeding and having a counterfeit license (September 1999); damage to property and breaking and entering (August 2000); felony breaking and entering (May 2003); and assault inflicting serious bodily injury and common law robbery (March 2007). Innovative Features Mean Major Savings for Cellular Operators Using Satellite Backhaul
With the rising cost of satellite bandwidth and the need for more of it to support an ever increasing number of voice, data and now video services, operators must seek ways to reduce both their hardware investment costs and operating expenses, especially when fierce competition forces them to provide these new services without raising their rates.

Harrells Christian Academy boasts two young females in its top academic spots this past school year. Harrells native Haley Ezzell was awarded the honor of being her class’ valedictorian. The salutatorian is Rachael Wescott of Wallace. Both young ladies express they felt honored to have secured the top spots for their academic success even as they now continue their education.

Ezzell is the daughter of Chuck and Cindy Johnson of Harrells and Darron and Bridgette Ezzell of Elizabeth. She has already left Harrells to attend North Carolina State University where she is studying business administration and international studies. Ezzell also expressed that she might even attend law school in the future.

“I am really proud to have received the valedictorian award. I feel I have really worked hard for it. Although I did not dwell on it, it truly has been a huge achievement for me,” asserted Ezzell.

The top student shared that she feels she has “a natural affinity for school.” Also, Ezzell began to read when she was only 3 years old. “My dad always has told me to do my best and that is what I have attempted to do,” stated the valedictorian.

Ezzell’s story is quite amazing when you understand that back in March, the top senior had brain surgery. “I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation during basketball season and had to limit my activities until I had surgery in March,” shared the valedictorian.

Chiari Malformation is an uncommon condition that occurs when the upper portion of the second vertebra (C2) moves upward. This may cause compression of the spinal cord and brain stem, creating a variety of neurological problems, including sudden death. This condition may be present at birth, may occur as the result of an accident or may occur in patients with bone diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. The surgery removes the vertebra to relieve the pressure that causes the problems that may occur.
